Fruits and Vegetables:

Join our "box" program to receive a regular mix of in-season fruits and veggies. The cost is $25/week. During the summer months our produce is also available at the Duncan Farmer's Market. We hope to begin a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program beginning next year.

 

Meat Price list:

Pork || $3.75/lb

Chicken || $3.50/lb (hens fed conventional feed) or $4.50/lb (hens fed certified organic feed) - all birds are pasture finished

Turkey || $5.25/lb -free run, fed certified organic feed

Beef || $5.00 -pasture finished

 

Horseshoeing:

Shawl Farm co-owner Rupert Koyote is also an experienced farrier and has been working in the Cowichan Valley for the past 6 years. Services include trimming and hot shoeing using hand made horseshoes. Rupert's clientele has been established primarily through word of mouth.

 

Shawl Farm Kitchen:

Leslie Kelly, "Kotee", resident chef at Shawl Farm is largely responsible for processing fruits and vegetables harvested throughout the year. Using the resources from the farm and her edible flower and herb garden, Leslie hosts a variety of field-to-table experiences, including gourmet dinners and lunch and hands-on cooking demonstrations, all of which are available by appointment. A wide variety of jams, jellies, preserves and pickles are also available for purchase. Please contact Leslie at 250-746-8340 or leslie@shawlfarm.ca for further information.
